Living in Toronto, you are in the Leafs' home region. See 2026-27 Sportsnet tags, Sportsnet+ and Prime Video, and confirm any TSN4 list with the broadcaster.

If you live in Toronto, you are inside the Maple Leafs' home broadcast region, so most of your games are regional games. Sportsnet tags some of the games it carries as "Sportsnet Ontario". National nights add Sportsnet, Sportsnet+ and Prime Video. Which 2026-27 games are on TSN4 has no official list in the sources read for this page. That share is to be confirmed with the broadcaster. The fastest way to find tonight's game is the rights holder's own game finder, not a forum thread.
This page is about Toronto viewers and the Leafs. It does not repeat the league-wide rights story in the 2026-27 NHL season guide.
The short answer
- Regional Leafs games on TSN4 in 2026-27 are to be confirmed with the broadcaster. There is no official list of that share in the sources read here. Sportsnet's support pages describe Sportsnet as a regional rights holder for the Leafs, and Sportsnet's own schedule tags some games "Sportsnet Ontario".
- Saturday Night Hockey is on Sportsnet, starting 3 October, according to Sportsnet.
- Monday Night Hockey streams only on Sportsnet+, starting 5 October, according to Sportsnet.
- Wednesday national games are on Prime Video only. Sportsnet says it will not broadcast them on any platform.
- Use the Sportsnet+ NHL Game Finder with your location. Sportsnet says it shows whether a game is available based on your location and your subscription.
How the games are tagged
When Sportsnet published its 2026-27 Leafs schedule on 17 September 2026, it listed each game it carries with a channel tag. Sportsnet said it would carry 51 Leafs games and that every one of them is on Sportsnet+. Three tags matter to a Toronto viewer:
| Tag in Sportsnet's schedule | What it means for you | Example from the schedule (ET) |
|---|---|---|
| Sportsnet | National window on the Sportsnet channels | Saturday 3 October: Ottawa at Toronto, 7 p.m. |
| Sportsnet Ontario | Regional channel for the Leafs' region | Tuesday 20 October: Toronto at Columbus, 7 p.m. |
| Sportsnet+ only | Streams on Sportsnet+ without a Sportsnet channel tag | Monday 19 October: San Jose at Toronto, 7:30 p.m. |
The games that do not appear in Sportsnet's list are not necessarily missing. No official 2026-27 list of Leafs games on TSN4 was in the sources read for this page. Which of those games are on TSN4 is to be confirmed with the broadcaster.
Why two broadcasters
A secondary guide, LeafsLurker, reports that a regional split between TSN4 and Sportsnet Ontario continued into 2026-27 after Rogers took sole ownership of MLSE, and that the split for this season had not been published when it wrote. Treat that as background, not as a rights statement. The 2026-27 TSN4 share is to be confirmed with the broadcaster. The rights statements you can rely on are the ones on Sportsnet's and TSN's own pages.
Toronto is in the region, but location still rules
Regional restrictions follow your physical location at the time of the game, not your billing address, according to Sportsnet+ support. Sportsnet says that location is determined by your IP address or your TV subscription address, and that if you move between cities or provinces your territory changes, and so does what you can watch.
- In Toronto, you are in the Leafs' region, so the regional games are meant for you. Confirm with the Game Finder.
- If you travel to another province for a weekend, expect the regional Leafs games to behave as out-of-market games there.
- Sportsnet+ support says Premium and Centre Ice do not give you a regional game that another broadcaster airs in your local market. If a Leafs game is on TSN4 where you live, you would need TSN for it. Whether a given 2026-27 date is on TSN4 is to be confirmed with the broadcaster. That limit is the broadcaster's own explanation.
- A login, a box or an app does not move you into or out of a region. Do not plan around a workaround.
Times in Toronto
Sportsnet's Leafs schedule is written in Eastern Time, which is Toronto's time. The examples above start at 7 p.m. or 7:30 p.m. ET. If you watch on a device that has its own guide, set the guide's time zone to America/Toronto so start times match the schedule. If you have family on the West Coast, 7 p.m. ET is 4 p.m. PT.
No free over-the-air option this season
CBC News reported on 28 September 2026 that CBC is not airing NHL games on Saturday nights this season. A secondary guide, The Hockey Beast, says every Leafs game now sits behind a paid subscription of some kind. Read that as a practical warning: plan for paid access to the broadcasters above, and check their own pages for current plans and prices before you commit. We have not copied any prices here because they change.
Before you add another service
- Open the Game Finder and look up three upcoming Leafs games.
- Write down which broadcaster each one is on: TSN, Sportsnet, Sportsnet+ or Prime Video.
- Count how many of those services you already have through your TV package.
- Only add the ones you are missing.
- Re-check after the first week, because broadcasters update schedules.
Where IPTV fits
A licensed IPTV service can put Sportsnet, TSN and other Canadian channels in one guide on one login, which some households find easier than juggling apps. It is not a way around a regional restriction, and it does not make a game available where the rights holder does not offer it. Use only services authorized to carry these channels in Canada, and treat a provider that cannot say where its rights come from with caution. Subscribers are responsible for complying with local laws; WorldIPTV distributes content under its own service terms.
If you want to see whether Sportsnet and TSN show up in a guide and whether the picture holds on your Wi-Fi, the 24-hour free trial is there for that. Tell us your city, your province and your device. Plans in Canadian dollars are on the pricing page and the Canada page. Fire TV owners can start from the Firestick install guide, and the IPTV Canada guide has the wider picture.
