The average American cable bill now sits above $100 a month, and the streaming alternatives meant to replace it add up to nearly the same once you stack a live-TV service, a sports add-on and a few premium apps. IPTV collapses that back into one subscription with the networks, cable channels, regional sports and premium movie channels in a single guide. This is the practical guide to IPTV in the USA for 2026: what you get, what it costs in dollars, and how to install it.
How do you choose a live TV or IPTV-style service in the USA?
WorldIPTV offers an IPTV service. This section is a checklist for choosing a live TV or IPTV-style service: what to look at, and what a short trial can show. Current plans are on the IPTV USA page.
These checks apply to any service, including ours. They are general information, not legal advice. A short United States note is in the country-by-country overview.
People looking for live US television usually want channels on a TV they already own: local news, national networks, sports, and sometimes Spanish-language stations. Here, IPTV means that live schedule, plus only the catch-up you can actually open. It is not another company's film library.
Is IPTV legal in the USA?
The delivery method is not the legal question. Licensed cable, satellite, and streaming companies already send television over internet protocols. What matters is whether a service may offer the programs it shows, and what the law means for you. This is general information, not legal advice, and not a statement that any service, including WorldIPTV, is lawful or will stay up.
U.S. Copyright Office Circular 1, Copyright Basics, which we read on October 5, 2026, says copyright protects original works fixed in a tangible form, including motion pictures and other audiovisual works. The owner has exclusive rights that include public performance, and the right to authorize others to use those rights, subject to statutory limits.

Copyright Office NewsNet Issue 866, dated December 22, 2020, which we also read on October 5, 2026, says Congress had passed a law letting the Department of Justice bring felony charges against certain digital transmission services offered to the public for financial gain that stream copyrighted works without authorization and have no other commercially significant purpose. The issue says that text was drafted to exclude criminal prosecution of individual users and, as published, still awaited signature. This guide does not treat that 2020 note as a current check of the law.

A clear picture is not a rights opinion. This page can't tell you whether any provider, including us, has the rights to a given program. For your own situation, ask a lawyer in your state. Start with the United States row of the country-by-country overview. You still have to follow local law. Read the terms before you pay.
What should you check before you pay?
Run these checks on your own internet connection. WorldIPTV's dollar prices are in the pricing table later in this article and on the IPTV USA page. Confirm the figure in writing before you pay.
-
Your stations. Search the call letters you watch, plus one national channel you sit down for. Check the picture, the guide title, and how long it takes to find the channel. That check is not a rights claim. Call letters are explained in How to watch local channels without cable. Two clean stations are a good sign, but they don't prove the whole lineup, and a feed from another coast is not your local affiliate.
-
Your connection, at the hour you watch. Use the internet connection and the device you will actually watch on. A midday hotspot is a different network. You won't know the picture quality until you try it there. Start from the free trial page and confirm how long the trial lasts.
-
The device you own. Match the model to Fire TV, Android, Samsung and LG, Apple, and Windows and macOS. Apple installs come from the App Store. Fire TV steps are in the Firestick trial checklist. If your model is not listed, that is a question to ask before you pay, not an automatic no.
-
Renewal in writing. Read the length and the renewal terms in the terms. Ask one question, such as your TV model, and keep the reply. This page doesn't measure how fast a reply comes back, and this checklist is not a support rating.
-
A live schedule, not a film library. Programs start at a set time. Catch-up is only what you can actually open. For films and series, use that company's own app. Check current prices on that company's site. They are not copied here.
-
Other official options. An antenna, the FCC map, YouTube TV, and Hulu + Live TV are separate services, not WorldIPTV offers. If one of them already shows what you watch, you may not need another subscription. Check current prices on each service's own site.
Antenna. The FCC guide "Antennas and Digital Television," which we read on October 5, 2026, says many homes can receive free over-the-air digital broadcasts. Scan for channels before you change an antenna, scan again later, and cover VHF (2–13) and UHF (14–36). Whether it works depends on where you live and what surrounds the antenna. That page also points to antennaweb.org. We did not use antennaweb.org as a source for this guide.
https://www.fcc.gov/consumers/guides/antennas-and-digital-television
FCC map. The FCC DTV Reception Maps page, read on October 5, 2026, says an address returns predicted stations. The estimate assumes an outdoor antenna 30 feet up. Indoors, and with buildings, trees, weather, or different hardware, reception can differ.
https://www.fcc.gov/media/engineering/dtvmaps
YouTube TV. The YouTube TV homepage, read on October 5, 2026, describes live and on-demand TV from broadcast and cable networks. The lineup depends on your home ZIP code and on availability. It is a separate product. Check current pricing on their site.
Hulu + Live TV. The Hulu + Live TV page, read on October 5, 2026, describes live national and local networks, with regional limits and blackouts, and local channels that depend on your area. It is a separate product. Check current pricing on their site.
If one league or event is the reason you are looking, check who officially carries it that season. Nothing on this page shows that WorldIPTV carries it. You won't know how it looks on your connection until you test it.
What pitfalls show up for US viewers?
Skipping these checks does not make a service lawful or stable. A feed from another coast is not your city's affiliate, so confirm the call letters for your area. A quiet afternoon on someone else's Wi-Fi is not your evening at home. Names in the guide are a picture test, not proof of rights.
Get your city, your device, and the renewal terms in writing before you pay. This page doesn't measure how fast anyone replies. One event that plays does not mean the next one will, and this page can't name which one will be missing. Install from the app store named for that device in the section below. A picture on one TV does not tell you how several screens will look at the same time.
Which devices can run a login in a US home?
Start with the screen you already own.
- Fire TV Stick and Fire TV Cube (HDMI). Setup: Fire TV. A walkthrough is in the Firestick trial checklist.
- Android TV, Google TV, and Nvidia Shield. Setup: Android.
- Samsung and LG, often from the TV's own app store. Match the year and the model. Setup: Smart TV.
- Apple TV, iPhone, and iPad, from the App Store. Setup: Apple.
- Windows and Mac, for a first look only, if you will watch on a television. Setup: Windows and macOS.
Picture size and other people on the same router both matter.
What should you expect from a USA trial?
A trial is a short look at your own connection. It is not a legal opinion, and it is not a promise about later months.
Use the device and the time of day from the checks above. Note the picture, whether the guide title matched the program, and how long it took to find the channel. If you are in a later time zone, hide the feed from the other coast that you will not watch, and confirm the one you want is still there.
A trial does not show who holds the rights, how the next busy evening will look, or what you will pay. WorldIPTV prices are in the pricing table below and on IPTV USA. How long the trial lasts is on the free trial page.

If an antenna, YouTube TV, or Hulu + Live TV already covers what you watch, stay with that. If you still want WorldIPTV, the plans are on IPTV USA. Confirm the price in writing before you pay.
What US viewers get with IPTV in 2026
WorldIPTV has run since 2019 and carries live channels across 60+ countries, plus movies and series on demand. The US package is the largest single-country lineup in the catalogue and is organized the way a cable guide is: networks, news, sports, entertainment, premium, kids, and Spanish-language.
| Category | Channels included |
|---|---|
| Broadcast networks | ABC, CBS, NBC, FOX, PBS, The CW, with East and West Coast feeds |
| News | CNN, MSNBC, Fox News, CNBC, Bloomberg, Newsmax, ABC News Live, CBS News |
| Sports | ESPN, ESPN2, ESPNU, ESPNEWS, FS1, FS2, NFL Network, NFL RedZone, NBA TV, MLB Network, NHL Network, CBS Sports Network, Golf Channel, Tennis Channel |
| Regional sports | Regional sports networks for the major markets, so out-of-market fans can follow their home team |
| Entertainment | AMC, FX, TNT, TBS, USA, Bravo, Paramount Network, Comedy Central, Discovery, HGTV, Food Network, History, A&E |
| Premium | HBO, Showtime, Starz, Cinemax, MGM+ |
| Kids | Disney Channel, Disney Jr, Nickelodeon, Nick Jr, Cartoon Network, Boomerang, PBS Kids |
| Spanish-language | Univision, Telemundo, UniMás, ESPN Deportes, FOX Deportes, Galavisión |
Most channels are in FHD, with 4K for major sports where the source provides it. Catch-up covers the previous 7 days on the main networks, and the EPG is complete for the US, including East/West feeds.
NFL, NBA, MLB and NHL on IPTV
Sport is the biggest single reason Americans switch to IPTV, because it is also the category where streaming has become most fragmented: a fan who wants every NFL game now needs a live-TV service, a Sunday Ticket subscription, Amazon for Thursday nights and a streaming app for the occasional exclusive.
- NFL: CBS, FOX, NBC and ESPN feeds for the regular schedule, NFL Network and NFL RedZone, plus the alternative feeds for Thursday and Saturday games.
- NBA: ESPN, TNT, ABC, NBA TV and the regional sports networks that carry local team games.
- MLB: FOX, FS1, ESPN, MLB Network and RSN coverage for the 162-game season.
- NHL: ESPN, TNT, NHL Network and RSNs, with Canadian feeds (TSN, Sportsnet) available under the Canada lineup for Hockey Night in Canada.
- College: ESPN family, FS1, ACC Network, SEC Network, Big Ten Network, CBS Sports Network.
Subscribers are responsible for complying with local laws; WorldIPTV distributes content under its own service terms.
IPTV prices in the USA (USD)
Prices on the USA page are in dollars. There is no contract, no equipment rental and no regional sports fee.
| Plan | Price | Per month |
|---|---|---|
| 1 month | $12 | $12 |
| 3 months | $25 | $8.33 |
| 6 months | $35 | $5.83 |
| 12 months | $65 | $5.42 |
Every plan includes one connection; a second simultaneous stream adds 40% and a third adds 75%, which for a family works out cheaper than a single cable box rental. All plans carry a 7-day money-back guarantee, and the 24-hour free trial needs no credit card. For a line-by-line comparison against a typical cable bill, see Cord cutting in the USA: cost comparison.
Devices that work with IPTV in the USA
WorldIPTV provides both an Xtream Codes login and an M3U playlist, so it works with practically every streaming device sold in the US:
- Amazon Fire TV Stick and Fire TV Cube: the most common device among US subscribers. Guide: Fire TV install, and our roundup of the best IPTV apps for Fire TV Stick.
- Android TV, Google TV and Nvidia Shield: Android install.
- Samsung and LG Smart TVs: native apps, no extra hardware. Smart TV install.
- Apple TV, iPhone and iPad: iOS install.
- Windows PC and Mac: Windows install.
Recommended apps are IPTV Smarters Pro, TiviMate (Android and Fire TV) and IBO Player (Smart TVs). All three support the EPG, catch-up and favorites.
How to set up IPTV in the USA
- Request the free trial or pick a plan on the pricing page. Trial credentials arrive by email instantly; paid plans activate within 5-15 minutes of order confirmation.
- Install a player app on your device. On Fire TV, sideload TiviMate or IPTV Smarters Pro using the Downloader app; on Samsung or LG, install IBO Player from the TV's app store.
- Open the app, select "Xtream Codes API", and enter the server URL, username and password from the email. If your app only accepts a playlist URL, use the M3U link from the playlists page.
- Let the channel list and EPG download, then open the "USA" group. Set your favorite channels and, if you live on the West Coast, hide the East Coast feeds to avoid duplicate listings.
- Check bandwidth: 10 Mbps for HD, 25 Mbps for 4K. Use Ethernet or 5 GHz Wi-Fi rather than 2.4 GHz.
If something stalls, the status page shows live server health, and the buffering guide covers the standard fixes.
Support and reliability
Support is available 24/7 in English and Spanish by live chat, WhatsApp and email. Live service status is published on the status page.
