Cricket Australia's media rights deal runs to 2031 and splits the summer between two broadcasters. Foxtel and Kayo show everything: every men's Test, every women's international, all of the men's white-ball matches and every BBL|16 game. Seven and 7plus show the men's Tests and all women's internationals, plus 30 regular-season BBL|16 matches and all four finals, live and free. The men's ODIs and T20Is against England are exclusive to Foxtel and Kayo.

Everything here comes from cricket.com.au's schedule announcements (22 March and 13 July 2026). Dates and times can still move, so check cricket.com.au before you plan a day around a match.

A quick time-zone note: cricket.com.au's announcement gives local times in the article and AEDT times in its summary list, so the same Test can appear with different clock times. They're the same moment. The Perth Test starts at 10.20am AWST, which is 1.20pm in Sydney and Melbourne during daylight saving, and the Adelaide Test's 11.00am ACDT is 11.30am AEDT. How to watch, format by format

Free: Seven and 7plus

For the Tests, the women's internationals and the free BBL games, Seven and its streaming service 7plus are the no-cost option. According to 7plus's support pages, it works on a wide range of devices, including Android TV and Google TV, LG, Samsung, Sony and VIDAA smart TVs, Apple TV, Chromecast, Fetch, Foxtel iQ, Amazon Fire Stick, phones, tablets, web browsers and PlayStation consoles. One catch: 7plus stopped supporting first- and second-generation Fire Sticks on 31 March 2025, so check your model.

Kayo is the streaming route for Fox Cricket. Kayo's help centre lists Standard at A$29.99 a month (one device, HD) and Premium at A$45.99 a month (two devices, 4K, about 25 Mbps recommended), with no lock-in, from 5 February 2026. kayosports.com.au lists a 7-day trial for new customers. Offers change, so check there before you commit. Our Kayo vs Foxtel 2026 guide compares the two services side by side.

Foxtel carries the same Fox Cricket coverage through a set-top box or its streaming packages. Prices are to be confirmed on foxtel.com.au, including 12-month promotions and the Platinum package after the September rise. Foxtel also raised the price of its Plus and Platinum Plus packages by A$5 a month from 1 September 2026, according to press reports, so a comparison table may lag behind.

Which one do you need?

  • Mostly care about the Tests and a chunk of the Big Bash? Seven and 7plus cover that for free.
  • Want every ODI, T20I and BBL game? You'll need Kayo or Foxtel.
  • Only want the Boxing Day Test? Seven and 7plus will do.
  • Travelling for work in December? The 7plus and Kayo apps both run on phones and tablets.

Time-zone cheat sheet

  • AEDT (UTC+11): NSW, Victoria, Tasmania and the ACT during daylight saving.
  • ACDT (UTC+10:30): South Australia during daylight saving.
  • AEST (UTC+10): Queensland all year.
  • AWST (UTC+8): Western Australia all year.

Daylight saving begins in NSW, Victoria, South Australia, Tasmania and the ACT on the first Sunday of October (4 October 2026). Queensland, WA and the NT don't observe it, which is why a Gold Coast T20I shows as 6.15pm AEST but 7.15pm AEDT in Sydney.

Get your setup right before the first ball

  1. Create your accounts now. 7plus needs a sign-in, and so do Kayo and most other streaming apps.
  2. Check your internet. For HD, a typical NBN connection is fine, but 4K on Kayo Premium wants around 25 Mbps for one stream.
  3. Test a stream early. Try a replay or a women's match in October, well before the Boxing Day Test.

You can try the service on your own devices with a free trial, or read more on our Australia page. IPTV doesn't change who holds the cricket rights: for these matches, the official broadcasters above are the reference.

A note on licensed viewing

Cricket Australia and its broadcasters pay for these rights. Stick with the official apps and channels above. Australian courts can order internet providers to block overseas piracy sites under section 115A of the Copyright Act 1968, and unlicensed streams are often unreliable and carry security risks. Whichever service you use, check it's properly licensed for the content you want and use it in line with local law. Our country-by-country legality guide has more background.
