Why IPTV stopped working: Wi-Fi, the app, then the ISP

When IPTV fails in Canada or France, check Wi-Fi, the player and the login before you blame the provider. An ISP filter is a support case, not a workaround.

A stream that worked last week and fails tonight has a short list of causes. Most of them are in the room: the Wi-Fi band, the player, or a login that was typed with a space. A smaller set are outside the house. In Canada, a Federal Court order lets some internet providers block addresses used by unlicensed IPTV. In France, some providers filter addresses associated with the same kind of service. This page is a diagnosis. It is not a guide to getting around a filter or a court order.

If the picture only stutters, start with the Fire TV Stick buffering notes. If you have not had a working login yet, start with the 24-hour trial instead of this article.

Check the room before you blame the line

Work in this order. Stop when the picture returns. Reinstalling an app before you have tried another device wastes the evening.

CheckWhat you doWhat it means if it fails
Other websitesOpen a normal site on the same Wi-FiIf the whole internet is down, this is not an IPTV fault
Wi-Fi bandPrefer 5 GHz or a cable. Leave 2.4 GHz for the test onlyA crowded 2.4 GHz band looks like a broken stream
One deviceReboot the stick or the television, then the routerA stuck player session clears more often than people expect
The loginRe-enter server, username and password from the emailA changed password or a trailing space fails every channel
A second deviceTry the same login on a phone on the same Wi-FiIf the phone works, the television app is the fault
Another networkA phone on mobile data, brieflyIf mobile data plays and home Wi-Fi does not, the home path is the fault

Ten minutes on that table tells you more than a new playlist from a forum. We do not publish playlists, and a public M3U is not a repair.

Wi-Fi and the player

HD wants about 10 Mbps per screen. 4K wants about 25 Mbps per screen. Two screens at once need that figure twice. A plan with one screen will refuse or kick a second television that tries to play at the same time. That looks like a failure and it is a plan limit. The screen count is explained in the screens guide.

On a Fire TV Stick, a full restart is holding the select button and the play button until the stick reboots, then opening the player again. Delete the line and add it back from the welcome message only after the reboot still fails. The install guide shows the fields. Do not replace the app with a file from a link someone sent you.

The programme guide can also be "wrong" when the clock offset is hours off. Programmes that sit in the past or the future are a guide setting, not a blocked stream. Set the offset for your time zone and look again.

When every device fails together

If the same username fails on the television, a phone and a laptop, on the home connection, while ordinary websites load, the address may be filtered on that connection. That pattern is what people in France describe on Free, Orange, SFR and Bouygues, and what some households in Canada describe after their provider applies a block.

In Canada the public reference is Federal Court file T-1127-26, dated 3 July 2026. It concerns blocking of unlicensed IPTV services. In France there is no single statute we are going to invent on this page. What subscribers report is that some providers filter addresses. In the UK, FACT has written to some households about unlicensed IPTV. None of those facts is a set of instructions. This site does not explain DNS changes, VPN split tunnels, or any other way through a filter or a court order.

A VPN is not required to use WorldIPTV, and a VPN is not a repair we will walk you through. If your provider has blocked the service, the honest next step is support, not a tutorial.

What to send support

Write on WhatsApp with four facts:

  1. Country and provider (for example France and Orange, or Canada and the name on your bill).
  2. The device, and whether a second device on the same Wi-Fi fails too.
  3. Whether mobile data on a phone plays the same login.
  4. The approximate time it last worked, and the error text if the player shows one.

Do not send a screenshot of the password into a group chat. The support thread you already have is enough. If you are inside a paid plan and the service cannot be restored on your connection, ask about the refund terms on /legal/refund. The published window is 7 days from activation. A trial that never opened does not need a payment to unwind.

The France hub is /iptv-france. The Canada hub is /iptv-canada. French guides for a France trial and for Québec are published under the French locale of this site. Use the language switcher on those hubs rather than an English duplicate of the same page.

Legal context, without advice, is in IPTV legality by country. Subscribers are responsible for the law that applies to them. We do not promise that a channel, a match, or a provider block will go your way.

FAQ

Why did my IPTV stop on every television at once?
If every device on the home connection fails and other websites still load, the cause is usually the login or a filter on that connection. Re-enter the credentials first. If mobile data plays and home Wi-Fi does not, contact support with the provider's name. We will not send a bypass.
Is my internet provider blocking IPTV in Canada or France?
Some providers do, and in Canada a Federal Court order (T-1127-26, 3 July 2026) is part of that story. A block is not something this page teaches you to evade. Tell support what you observed.
Will a VPN fix it?
We do not recommend a VPN as a way around a filter, and we do not publish steps for that. A VPN is not required for a normal WorldIPTV login. If the service is blocked on your line, ask support about the trial or the refund.
The app opens but every channel spins. Is that the same fault?
Often it is the Wi-Fi band or a bitrate that is too high for the connection. Try 5 GHz, one screen only, and the buffering guide. If a phone on the same Wi-Fi plays, reinstall is the wrong first move. If nothing on the home network plays, use the support list above.
Do you replace the playlist when this happens?
We re-send the private login when support confirms it should be reissued. We do not publish a new public M3U, an APK, or a DNS change.
